The Ludlow Fairtrade Town Group are proud to announce that we are supporting Traidcraft Exchange’s Regenerators Appeal, which provides vital support to those at the front lines of the climate change crisis.

52 million people across Africa are facing crisis levels of hunger from droughts, flash floods and other extreme weather.

“Back when I first started farming rains lasted longer and they were average, not too much…This year the floods have caused the cashew trees to die, our maize and rice were swept away by water and at the end of the rains we don’t have anything to eat.”

The Regenerators Appeal supports those living on the frontline of the climate crisis to take action by investing in eco-friendly businesses, planting climate friendly crops, and using green technology.

With our help, they can regenerate their land and earn more for the hard work they do every day.

The Regenerators Appeal has been selected to receive matched funding through UK Aid Match, which means that the UK government will double every donation made before the 7th June 2021.

We’ll be actively supporting the appeal over the next two months with a calendar full of exciting events to encourage people in Ludlow to support the appeal. Every donation will be doubled, helping the most vulnerable stand strong in the face of climate change.

The following events have been confirmed, but we’ve got more in the pipeline so watch this space!
