Grow Cook Learn

Grow Cook Learn run cookery, based in Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Church Stretton, courses for vulnerable adults on a budget. They use and promote local food to connect people to the food, history and landscape of the Shropshire Hills.

Hands Together Ludlow creates a network of volunteers who work with agencies, charitable organisations, local businesses and churches to identify and provide relief to people in need in Ludlow and the surrounding villages in South Shropshire.

Ludlow Chamber of Trade and Commerce is a membership organisation for local businesses that works towards furthering and improving the trade and commercial interests of Ludlow and the neighbouring district.

Ludlow Food Bank

The Food Bank in Ludlow is housed in Ludlow Baptist Church, but is supported by all the churches in Ludlow. Food donated to the Food Bank are sorted in to parcels and give to people in crisis situations.

The Local to Ludlow campaign promotes food and drink produced within 30 miles of Ludlow. Their aim is to reduce the environmental cost of food production and to support the local food economy.

Held each September in the grounds of Ludlow Castle, Ludlow Food Festival is one of the UK’s premier food festivals showcasing the very best local food and drink producers from Shropshire and the Marches.

Slow Food in the UK is a network of dedicated volunteers around the country who organise events in their local areas to promote and share the Slow Food ethos.

Oxfam Shop Ludlow

As well as a variety of donated clothes, accessories and homewares, the Oxfam Shop in Ludlow sells a good range of Fairtrade food, including chocolate and snacks, oils, tea and coffee.

Wesley’s Cafe

Wesley’s Cafe is located in Ludlow Methodist Church. The cafe uses Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits. There is a permanent Fairtrade stall selling groceries and greetings cards. Orders are taken for seasonal goods for Christmas and Easter.

Working Together Ludlow

Working Together is a charity supporting people with learning disabilities and difficulties. They offer supportive opportunities for adults and young people age 11+ and promote the positive role people with learning disabilities can play in the local community.
